A Multimodal Platform for Oral Screening of COVID-19
Description
Background: This study developed a multiplexed sensor platform based on nanomaterials capable of rapid simultaneous detection of multiple components of viral particles in a field applicable electrochemical device.Materials/Methods: The device contained synthetic biosensors that were integrated into a multimodal test format. The design allowed for a rapid, accurate, inexpensive, and field-deployable electrochemical test.Outcome/Impact: The platform detected multiple SARS-CoV-2 biomarkers, demonstrating its potential to provide simultaneous identification of different components of viral particles in a single, practical device.
