Supporting Data Products for Research Articles on ENA Emissions at Uranus

Santos-Costa, Daniel;André, Nicolas

Description

This dataset contains the following data products:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1. The Voyager 2 Uranus encounter position generated at a sample rate of 48.0 seconds in the Uranus U1 coordinate system (CSV format);-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2. Thirty 25-second movies in mp4 format depicting the spatiotemporal distributions of Energetic Neutral Atoms along the Voyager 2 trajectory with ~5-minute increments over 2 days centered around the 1986 closest approach for simulation runs that combine three different proton distributions, two energy ranges, and five neutral environment configurations.--> The proton distributions are a follows:case study 1: no radiation-belt protons populate the region L < 4.1;case study 2: the proton radiation belt peaks at L = 3;case study 3: the proton radiation belt peaks at L = 1.5.--> The two energy ranges are 24-55 and 50-80 keV.--> The neutral environment configurations are:HEXO: Uranus' extended exosphere with the following species: H2, H_cold, H_escape and H_hot [after Joshi et al., A&A, 693, A231, 2025]; MSNT1: Washer-shaped neutral tori co-orbiting with icy moons Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titatnia, and Oberon [after Cheng, JGR, 92, A13, 1987, Table 1] with Moon-Sourced Neutral densities for H, H2, OH, H2O, O, O2 from Table 1 (Maximal Plasma Tori Number Densities) of Eviatar & Richardson [APJ, 300, L99-102, 1986] [after Naylor et al., JGR-SP, 130, 2025];MSNT2: Washer-shaped neutral tori co-orbiting with icy moons Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titatnia, and Oberon [after Cheng, JGR, 92, A13, 1987, Table 1] with Moon-Sourced Neutral densities for H, H2, OH, H2O, O, O2 from Table 2 (Minimal Plasma Tori Number Densities) of Eviatar & Richardson [APJ, 300, L99-102, 1986] [after Naylor et al., JGR-SP, 130, 2025];HEXO + MSNT1;HEXO + MSNT2.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------3. Thirty ZIP files containing the 591 frames for each simulation run that combines one of the three proton distribution scenarios, one of the two energy ranges, and one of the five neutral environment configurations. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------4. Three CSV files to reproduce the 65-keV proton distributions in a meridian plane with dimension L = [0; 15] (301 steps) & Z_dipole [-3.75; 3.75] (151 steps) for the 3 case studies.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
