Sequence Dataset: Profiling Gut Microbiota of Colorectal Cancer in Indonesia: A Focus on Beneficial
Description
This repository contains raw and processed sequencing data generated from a 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing study of gut microbiota in Indonesian colorectal cancer (CRC) patients, non-CRC bowel disease patients, and healthy controls. The uploaded dataset includes raw sequencing files in FASTQ format, representing demultiplexed paired-end reads obtained from stool samples, as well as representative sequence files in FNA format derived from downstream bioinformatics processing. In addition, a metadata table is provided summarizing sample identifiers and corresponding study groups, enabling integration with microbiome analysis pipelines such as QIIME2. These data were used to assess microbial diversity, differential taxonomic abundance, and predicted functional pathways using ANCOM-BC2 and PICRUSt2. The dataset supports investigations into regional gut microbiome characteristics and the depletion of beneficial bacterial taxa associated with colorectal cancer in Indonesia.
