SHALLOW-WATER MEDITERRANEAN MARINE BIODIVERSITY AND CLIMATE CHANGE: INSIGHTS FROM A MULTISOURCE DATABASE

This data collection targeted approximately 30 representative marine species in the Mediterranean Sea from different high-rank taxa, selected for their ecological relevance and varying responses to environmental stressors. The data were collected through a multisource approach, integrating peer-reviewed literature, direct field sampling, global biodiversity databases (e.g., GBIF, OBIS), Local Ecological Knowledge (LEK), Citizen Science (CS) and digital platforms including social media.
