Version 1
The effect of freeze-drying and storage on lactobacilli strains from the gastrointestinal tract of wild boars using different cryoprotectants
View DatasetKavanova, Katerina
Description
Probiotics play an important role in maintaining gastrointestinal comfort and health in piglets. For this reason, lactobacilli isolated from the gastrointestinal tract of domestic pigs and wild boars are evaluated for probiotic properties with the aim of developing probiotics for animal husbandry. Resistance to technological processing is a key requirement for probiotic strains, for which reason the viability of Limosilactobacillus mucosae M65A, Ligilactobacillus salivarius M494A and Lactobacillus amylovorus M624A was assessed after freeze‑drying and after 120 days of storage.
