Behavioural and Structural Determinants of Rabies Risk in Ghana: Implications for One Health Elimination Strategies

Study Design and Study AreaA community-based cross-sectional study was conducted between June to December 2025 in selected districts within the Greater Accra, Ashanti, and Bono East Regions of Ghana. These regions were selected to reflect differences in urbanization, dog ownership patterns, availability of veterinary services, and access to healthcare facilities. Both urban and rural communities were included to capture contextual variability in rabies-related knowledge and behaviour.
