Description
This dataset contains simulated and empirical gene trees and species trees used in the study “Triplet-based species tree estimation: sensitivity to gene tree rooting (or lack thereof)”. For a subset of datasets, the corresponding multiple sequence alignments (MSAs) are also provided. All trees are provided in Newick format and MSAs are provided in FASTA format. The dataset further includes gene trees re-rooted using multiple rooting strategies (OG, MAD, MP, MV, RD, RD-EX, and RAND), as well as species tree reconstructions generated using STELAR, ASTRAL, and SuperTriplets across different model conditions (ILS levels, gene counts, and sequence lengths).
