This article examines the history of the study of postpositions in Uzbek linguistics. The classifications by scholars such as A.N. Kononov, N.A. Baskakov, Sh. Shoabduraxmonov, and M. Murataliyeva are analyzed, discussing the morphological, syntactic, and historical features of postpositions, as well as classification challenges. The article is supplemented with modern research, highlighting the role of postpositions in language development.
