LINGUOPOETHICAL ANALYSIS OF NICKNAMES IN FICTION

This article studies the linguopoetic properties of nicknames in the Uzbek language and their functional-semantic role in the literary text. The study sheds light on the nature of nicknames as onomastic and anthroponymic units, analyzes the mechanisms of expression of the character, appearance and social status of the hero through them. Also, the role of nicknames in literary works in creating an image, expressing the subjective attitude of the author and enhancing expressiveness is substantiated on the basis of examples of Uzbek literature.
