Dataset of annual flood characteristics (peak and volume) across Canada (1970–2019)

This dataset contains annual flood characteristics (peak discharge (Q) and volume (V)) for 169 hydrometric stations across Canada over the period 1970–2019. The data were derived from the HYDAT database of the Water Survey of Canada and processed to ensure consistency, including the use of a common analysis period and selection of stations with limited missing data.Additional station characteristics are provided in a separate file.This dataset supports the results presented in the associated study on multivariate trends of flood over Canada.
