Saint Joseph´ s Parish Integrated Project Dossier (2015)
View DatasetDescription
Saint Joseph’s Parish is a beautiful and rare example of a Neo-Gothic Roman Catholic church, located in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Its grand stature, gorgeous monochromatic stone façade and elongated arched stained glass windows are just a few of the facets that make up the church’s unique identity. While recording the site, we were able to learn of the many enchanting features that are woven into the fabric of the building. We used extensive photography to document these elements, along with modern surveying techniques to create a west-facing cross-section of the church interior, and floor and reflected ceiling plans. This dataset is the product of a record prepared for the CIVE 3207, Historic Site Recording and Assessment course.
