Description
Data from 180 seedlings from 3 N-fixing legume species (n=540) grown in both Neotropical canopy-gaps and intact understory to test light and soil N effects on symbiotic nitrogen fixation. Data include biomass, SNF rate estimates derived from 15N enriched incubations, and average site variables (average % light availability, soil nitrate, soil phosphate, and soil moisture).
