Code used for " An evolutionary model identifies the main selective pressures for the evolution of genome-replication profiles." At each cell cycle, a yeast cell replicates its genome by a prescribed but stochastic temporal program encoded by the localization and strength of a set of discrete "replication origins" along the genome. This temporal program is of primary importance for cell viability and, consequently, on evolutionary time scale it is subject to selective pressures. By mathematical modelling of replication-origins evolution this study identifies the two main selective pressures responsible for evolutionary appearance and disappearance of replication origins.
