Description

Au2ZnAl crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Au2ZnAl ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Au is bonded in a linear geometry to one Zn and one Al atom. The Au–Zn bond length is 2.53 Å. The Au–Al bond length is 2.41 Å. Zn is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Au atoms. Al is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Au atoms.
