Job Posts & Online Courses

Our study sheds light on the intersection between the analytics skills currently in demand by the job marketplace and the offer of MOOCs for developing such skills. Using a custom web scraper software on Python we have scraped from the web the description of more than 14.000 job posts and 3.600 Data Analytics online courses in order to systematically capture the demand of data skills and available development opportunities. We deleted the duplicate job offers and courses, we also deleted the job offers and courses which are not related to our study, then we have built a dataset containing 9.067 job offer and 764 online courses.
