Ischaemic Postconditioning in Equine Jejunal Ischaemia

View Dataset
Verhaar, Nicole

Description

The objective of the study was to assess the feasibility of IPoC in equine jejunum, and to evaluate the effect of this treatment strategy on different variables of ischaemia reperfusion injury in experimental equine jejunal ischaemia. The authors hypothesized that IPoC clamping effectively reduces intestinal microperfusion in the equine jejunum, and that IPoC would ameliorate ischaemia reperfusion injury.
