K4Bi is Silicon tetrafluoride-like structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fd-3m space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of eight K4Bi clusters. K is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one Bi atom. The K–Bi bond length is 3.31 Å. Bi is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four equivalent K atoms.
