Description

PdCuAl2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two PdCuAl2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Pd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Al atoms. Both Pd–Al bond lengths are 2.36 Å. Cu is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Al atoms. Both Cu–Al bond lengths are 2.42 Å. Al is bonded in a linear geometry to one Pd and one Cu atom.
