Description

CeSe2 is high (beta) Cristobalite structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fd-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ce4+ is bonded to four equivalent Se2- atoms to form corner-sharing CeSe4 tetrahedra. All Ce–Se bond lengths are 2.71 Å. Se2- is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ce4+ atoms.
