Description

How to select the best path for routing packets in MANETs is challenging as there are several parameters that have to be put into consideration like residual energy, packet delivery ratio (PDR), Throughput, and end–to–end delay. This research proposes a novel routing cost metric different from the ones found in the literature. The metric combines residual energy, hop count, congestion, and received signal strength. These files show the simulation and results of the proposed routing metric and mutation-based hybrid routing algorithm in the secondary route selection considering the novel routing cost metric based on Ad – Hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV) protocol. The performance of this routing algorithm will be compared with other related protocols based on the above-mentioned metrics.
